Native Plant Sale

idfg-mcoleman
Come celebrate Earthday by stocking up on water-wise, drought tolerant native plants at the Morrison Knudsen Nature Center this weekend. The Idaho Native Plant Sale-sponsored by the Idaho Native Plant Society Pahove Chapter-runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Nature Center behind the Idaho Department of Fish and Game headquarters at 600 S. Walnut, Boise. Native plants help the environment by conserving water and providing habitat for wildlife. This is an opportunity to buy beautiful plants and see how using native plants can add spice to your life and your yard. Come early; this is a popular event. The sale ends when all the plants are sold. Coffee and baked treats will be on sale from Nature Center volunteers with proceeds benefiting the Nature Center. For additional information contact the Nature Center at 334-2225, or for a list of plants go to the Native Plant Society Website at www.idahonativeplants.org or call 384-1244.
