Idaho Fish and Game

Lochsa & South Fork Clearwater Rivers Salmon Season Expected To Remain Open Through August 1

idfg-staff
LEWISTON - Fishery managers for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) expect that chinook salmon fisheries in the Lochsa River and South Fork Clearwater River will remain open until the end of fishing hours on August 1, 2004, which is the originally scheduled closing date for these fisheries. Angler effort and harvest on these rivers has slowed, and fisheries managers predict that there are sufficient numbers of fish left in the state harvest share to continue these fisheries until August 1.
