KETCHUM - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will present a program on living with wintering wildlife Dec. 10 at the Environmental Resource Center, 411 East Sixth Street in Ketchum at 7 p.m. "What we want people to learn is to be more aware of the animals that live around them and how they can protect both their private property and the animals," said Bruce Palmer, Fish and Game Regional Wildlife Biologist. "Every winter we have numerous complaints on elk and moose in the Wood River Valley and this meeting is just a way to prepare people for the winter months." Topics of the meeting will include: The history of feeding in elk in the Wood River Valley; How to protect private property; Recreation around wintering wildlife, and the predators that follow the herds. It will then be opened up for a short question and answer session.
