Lion Zone Closed in Magic Valley

Idaho Fish and Game closed the mountain lion harvest season Friday, January 8, game management unit 55 in the Magic Valley Region. Under Fish and Game's big game rules, the mountain lion take season closed in unit 55 when six female mountain lions have been harvested. Other big game units in the state remain open to harvest. Consult the big game rules brochure for details or visit the Fish and Game Web site at: http://fishandgame.idaho.gov Hunters will be allowed to keep female mountain lions taken within this period and must report them within 10 days of harvest. A dog training season remains open in unit 55 until March 31.
