The lakes are stocked and it's time to go fishing

JEROME - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game got an early start this year's fish-stocking program in the Magic Valley Region, and nearly all the reservoirs are ready for anglers to go try their hand at catching them.
The only area not receiving fish this spring is Fish Creek Reservoir, north of Carey. Dam problems', resulting in low water storage, makes the reservoir unusable as a fishery this season.
Biologists are closely watching other reservoirs in the Magic Valley Region. Snowmelt came fast and early this season, much of the runoff went into the ground rather than the reservoirs. Many reservoirs are in danger of draining this summer, they include: Little Camas, Mormon, Thorn Creek, Roseworth, Magic, and Oakley.
In the Magic Valley Region, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game stocks approximately 350,000 catchables each season and around 1.6 million rainbow, kokanee and cutthroat fingerlings.
Catchables average eight to 10 inches in length, while fingerlings average about three inches.
