MOSCOW - Over the next few months, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game will hold several meetings for anglers to interact with fisheries staff and discuss fishing in the Clearwater Region. Concepts from these meetings may be used while developing proposed fishing rule changes. "We would like to hear from anglers about what they like, dislike and their ideas for changes related to fishing in the Clearwater Region," said Ed Schriever, Regional Fisheries Manager. IDFG staff will be available to answer questions and visit with anglers at the following meetings:
  • Potlatch - March 24, 6:45 - 7:45 am - Irelands Cafe
  • Moscow - March 26, 6:45 - 7:45 am - Best Western University Inn
  • Deary - March 27, 7:00 - 9:00 pm - Deary Fire Hall
  • Elk River - April 2, 6:30 - 8:30 pm - Elk River Community Center
Additional meetings will be held in communities throughout the region, but have not been scheduled. Once official proposals are developed, IDFG will hold another series of meetings to provide anglers the opportunity to comment on proposed rule changes for the 2004 and 2005 fishing seasons. Individuals wanting to make comments, but who are unable to attend a meeting should write or call Schriever at Idaho Department of Fish and Game, 1540 Warner Ave, Lewiston, 83501, 799-5010.
