Idfg To Host Coffee Shop Gathering In Menan On March 15

MENAN - The Idaho Department of Fish & Game understands that some people don't like crowds and that others don't feel comfortable getting up to speak in front of a group. That is why the Department is hosting an informal gathering on March 15th at the Menan Coop in Menan. According to Regional Habitat Biologist John O'Neill, "We know that there are people out there with important things to say and we want to make sure they have a chance to be heard." While IDFG will continue to hold the more traditional formal open house meetings, regional habitat biologists in the Upper Snake Region are heading out to meet the public in more comfortable surroundings. The first of these informal "coffee shop" gatherings will take place from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Coop located at 3535 East Menan-Lorenzo Highway. While IDFG will be buying the drinks, more importantly they are making the investment of their staff's time to get out and meet with the public to find out what is on their minds.
