LEWISTON - - With several recent changes to Idaho's beginning hunter requirements, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game has scheduled a meeting for Lewiston-area hunter education instructors on Saturday, March 1 at the Clearwater Regional Office, 1540 Warner Avenue in Lewiston. The meeting is designed to cover the new student and instructor manuals, review significant changes in the laws, including those dealing with teaching and licensing younger hunters and the new free licenses for first year hunter education graduates. With several significant changes to the program, IDFG encourages area instructors to attend the meeting. "Instructors should not consider teaching any more classes until they fully understand the significance of these changes," said Kent Henderson, Clearwater Region Hunter Education Coordinator. According to IDFG, this meeting will be the first of a series to be held during March and early-April throughout the Clearwater Region. Additional meetings are planned for Grangeville, Moscow and Orofino. All instructors will be notified of meeting dates and locations as soon as they are scheduled. Coffee and pastries will be available for attendees at 9:30 a.m., with the meeting beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided for lunch.
