Fish for Free Saturday

Anyone who wants to go fishing Saturday, June 9, can do it for free. No license is required on that day to fish any Idaho water that is open to fishing. Otherwise, all rules and limits apply as usual. Anglers should read the current fishing regulation booklet and become familiar with the rules that apply where they want to fish. Fish and Game regions will offer local activities aimed at helping anglers learn more about fishing. Fish and Game employees, volunteers and reservists will be on hand to help folks who lack skills and information in "how-to" seminars and with private instruction. At some locations, special events are planned including door prizes and "cooking the catch" on the spot. Some fishing equipment will be available at most of these locations. Where appropriate, Fish and Game has stocked these waters. Events in each region will be announced locally.
