Fish and Game to Survey Mountain Goats

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will conduct aerial surveys of mountain goats north of the North Fork of the Clearwater River in game management unit 10 beginning the second week of May. The survey will be conducted from a helicopter and is intended to provide up-to-date information on mountain goat status in controlled hunt area 10. The information collected will be used in determining future hunting opportunity. Statewide the number of available mountain goat permits is 46.
