Fish and Game Seeks Help in Antelope Poaching

Idaho Fish and Game is asking the public for information about the poaching of a pronghorn buck near Emmett on April 9. Citizens against Poaching is offering a reward for information in the case and callers may remain anonymous. Call 1-800-632-5999, 24 hours a day. Responding to the initial report, Fish and Game Conservation Officer Paul Alexander found the poached antelope approximately 12 miles north of Emmett just off the Van Deusen Road in game management unit 32. The buck had been shot and left. Evidence was collected at the scene, but Alexander hopes to learn more about the case from an eyewitness or others who have knowledge of the poaching incident. "I would very much like to visit with anyone who might have information regarding this poaching case," Alexander said. In addition to the hotline, persons with information may also contact the local Fish and Game office.
