Fish And Game Seeks Comments on Salmon Season

Salmon anglers in the Clearwater Region who would like to comment on proposals to the upcoming salmon season are encouraged to attend one of three Idaho Department of Fish and Game public meetings scheduled this week. Regional fishery personnel will provide a brief overview of prior seasons, especially the 2006 season; review factors related to 2007 projected Chinook salmon returns; and explain fishery constraints that Fish and Game operates within. Each meeting will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at these locations: - Wednesday, April 25, Clearwater Hatchery at Ahsahka, Orofino. - Thursday, April 26, Fish and Game office, 3316 16th Street, Lewiston. - Tuesday, May 1, (7 p.m. Mountain Time) Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge, Riggins.
