Idaho Fish and Game

Commission to Meet in Stanley

idfg-staff
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will gather in Stanley for a scheduled quarterly meeting July 6, 7, and 8 at the Stanley Community Center. A public hearing is scheduled for July 6 at 7 pm. The commission is expected to take action on two items: the release of bighorn sheep tags for the annual fundraiser for the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep, and direction on the expenditure of animal damage control funds. The commission will also receive informational updates on wolf management, waterfowl management, migratory game bird options, the landowner appreciation program, potential changes to fishing rules and bonus points. Department personnel will also inform the commission about possible updates to the rules governing fishing and hunting licenses for the disabled, and a possible provision that would give returning military personnel better odds of drawing tags in depredation hunts.
