Commission to meet in Moscow

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet at The University Inn, 1615 Pullman Road, in Moscow, April 24, 25 and 26. The meeting will begin with a strategic planning session April 24 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. and continue with an open house from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The business meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. on April 25 and 26. The commission will set upland game and furbearer seasons and limits for the next two years. They will also consider whether to release the draft mountain lion plan for public comment and consider property acquisitions in Fremont and Clearwater counties. The fiscal year 2003 budget will be presented for approval. Commissioners will have a report on wolf reintroduction from Curt Mack of the Nez Perce tribe; and state big game manager Jim Unsworth will present a report on a deer and elk monitoring plan associated with wolves. The meeting is scheduled to adjourn at 11:00 a.m. April 26.
