Commission to Meet March 25-26

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet March 25-26 at Fish and Game headquarters, 600 South Walnut in Boise. Meetings will begin at 8 a.m. both days. There will be a public hearing March 24 at 7 p.m. at the same location. Any topic having to do with fish or wildlife may be presented at the public hearing. It is not restricted to agenda items only; however, when large numbers of people wish to speak, they may be limited to three minutes each. Items on the agenda for this meeting include setting the seasons and rules for big game hunting in 2004. Under consideration are proposed changes to the rules on hunting and motorized vehicles, proposals to establish trophy deer hunts, and a proposal to change opening dates when they fall on Sundays. Season date and/or length proposals are being scoped in each region. The Commission will also review a proposal to develop separate management plans for mule deer and whitetails and other items.
