Idaho Fish and Game

Billingsly Creek, Pond Opened to Fishing

idfg-staff
Meeting in Pocatello Oct. 2, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission voted to open two waters in the Magic Valley Region to fishing immediately. Billingsly Creek and Vardis Fisher pond are now in public ownership under the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. Previously, under private ownership, the pond and some sections of the creek were closed to fishing. The commission voted to open Billingsly Creek from the old railroad crossing to Tupper Grade (local landmarks) and Vardis Fisher pond to fishing with a limit of two trout, none under 20 inches, using artificial flies and lures only. This is effective immediately.
