Hunters and anglers can recieve a free can of bear spray by attending one of the scheduled "Bear Spray Giveaway Events"

Recently the Fish and Game Commission awarded grant funding to the Western Bear Foundation to distribute free cans of bear spray in the Island Park area through the Commission Community Challenge Grant. This exciting grant program provides competitive funding for officially recognized non-profit organizations to implement projects that are broadly supported by the local sportsman community and enhance fish and wildlife habitat, populations, or associated recreational opportunities.

The Western Bear Foundation is a non-profit that operates in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming and is dedicated to the protection & development of bears, bear habitat, & bear hunting in the states of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.
