Idaho Fish and Game

Avoid the Rush

idfg-staff
Hunters shouldn't wait for the last minute to buy hunting license and tags. They may find themselves at the end of a long line and a long wait at computers jammed with other last-minute buyers. Some seasons already have opened, and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game urges hunters not to put off buying tags and licenses for desired hunts. Most regular season tags are now available at Fish and Game offices and license vendors around the state. A few leftover controlled hunt tags for deer, elk, pronghorn and black bear are available for a second drawing. The application period for the second drawing runs through August 15. The drawing will be August 20. Any remaining tags after that will be available, first come, first served, beginning August 25. The list of available tags is available at Fish and Game offices and on the department Website at: http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/licenses/leftover/deab2.cfm. The list also is available at any license vendor.
