Q. I heard there were still non-resident elk tags left. Can I buy one and maybe take two elk this fall?
A. You heard a true story. As of the end of last week, there were about 1,700 nonresident elk tags left. Those tags are available to nonresident hunters or, since August 28, to residents who want to pay the nonresident price for a second tag.
