Access Yes! Directory Goes Online

The directory to lands made available for 2003 in Fish and Game's Access Yes! Program is now on the Fish and Game website at www2.state.id.us/fishgame. Look under "What's News" and then "New Additions." Using funding from its habitat and access account, the Department of Fish and Game acquired access this year to 30 properties, comprising 107,000 acres of private land and providing access to 240,000 acres of public land which were previously blocked by the private land. Some of the properties are available for fishing, but most offer hunting for a variety of big game and upland birds. Locations and landowner contact information can be found on the Fish and Game website. Many landowners participating in Access Yes! have special access conditions and their continued participation in the program is partly dependent on the behavior of hunters and anglers. Visitors' attention to landowner's access conditions is appreciated and will help insure a successful program for outdoor recreation today and tomorrow. Remember; please respect private property.
