idfg-mcoleman
Somebody apparently shot 46 geese on Saturday, October 4, and dumped them in three Dumpsters in City Park in Soda Springs. The dead geese were found in Dumpsters along East 1st South the following day, on Sunday, October 5. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is looking for information about the killing and wasting of the geese. Officials suspect the geese were shot over decoys in grain fields or from boats on or around Blackfoot Reservoir. The exact location is unknown. Officials suspect several people were involved. After investigating, Fish and Game officers determined that the geese were unsalvageable. Landowners who had requests from large parties for permission to hunt over the weekend are encouraged to provide any information. Anyone with any information regarding this incident, please contact Conservation Officer Brandon Chamberlin, at 339-3520 or the Fish and Game region office at 232-4703.
