Fish and Game Managed Locations

Idaho Fish and Game manages locations for wildlife conservation, access, and opportunity.

Idaho's Wildlife Management Areas

Idaho Fish and Game has 31 Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), which range from 275 to 85,000 acres. Each has specific priorities based upon the needs of wildlife in the surrounding area.

This list and brochure were designed to help you take advantage of outdoor opportunities by guiding you to over 300 fishing and boating access sites. Amenities and facilities are listed for each site.

Idaho's Wildlife Habitat Areas

Wildlife depend on Wildlife Habitat Areas (WHAs) to thrive in parts of Idaho. Idaho Fish and Game has 29 parcels of land set aside as Wildlife Habitat Areas. Each has specific priorities based upon the needs of wildlife in the surrounding area.
