If you've never seen a Chinook salmon "up-close and personal" - now is the time. Fish hatcheries at Rapid River Hatchery near Riggins, Sawtooth Hatchery near Stanley, Pahsimeroi Hatchery near Challis and the McCall Trap on the South Fork Salmon River are all catching and holding Chinook Salmon. The public are invited to view these fish before they spawn and die in late August/September.
