Sharp-tailed grouse season opens Oct. 1

Conserving Snake River sturgeon: Collecting eggs (part 4 of 7)

Volunteers Care about Fish and their Habitat-- South Fork Salmon River

Six volunteers, the president of the local Trout Unlimited chapter and two Fish and Game staff spent a  day cleaning up litter, weeding, and watering plants along a popular 10 mile fishing stretch of the South Fork Salmon River. Not a glamorous job, but these volunteers were up to the task.

Fall Chinook and Steelhead Weekend Report (9/19/16)

Fishing effort for the fall Chinook fishery picked up this week in the confluence (river sect. 01) and mouth to Memorial Bridge  (river sect. 03/Mouth to Memorial Bridge). Catch rates were poor in both sections and we did not document any Chinook harvested in the Clearwater section.
