Youth Turkey Hunt Scheduled For April

LEWISTON - - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Tri-State Outfitters and the Hells Canyon Chapter of the Wild Turkey Federation will hold a turkey hunt for youth ages 12 to 17 on April 19, 20 and 21 near Lewiston. Youth are required to hold a valid hunting license and turkey tag. A junior hunting license is $6.50 and turkey tag is $18.00. Youth will participate in an actual hunt where they will learn about Wild turkey biology and successful hunting techniques from IDFG biologists and experienced adult hunters. Transportation, shotguns and ammunition will also be provided. To register or for more information, contact the Clearwater Region office at 799-5010.
