Youth Pheasant Hunt Planned

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is offering a youth pheasant hunt and workshop on October 3 at the Niagara Springs Wildlife Management Area near Jerome. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. for registration. Participants will be treated to a day of clay target shooting, learning about pheasants and their habitat, and will then be taken on a pheasant hunt by an adult mentor and their dog. The pheasant hunt is limited to the first 30 youth between the ages of 10 and 15 that call the Magic Valley Regional Fish and Game Office at 324-4359. Participants must be accompanied by an adult and need to have taken the Hunter Education class. Shotguns, ammunition and the noon meal will be provided for participants.
