Shaping The Future Of Deer Hunting

Idaho Falls - Want to take part in shaping the future of mule deer hunting in Idaho? The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will hold an open house meeting Tuesday, July 27th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Idaho Falls Regional Office. "Over the past year we have been compiling information in order to design a statewide mule deer hunter survey," said Toby Boudreau, Mule Deer Initiative Coordinator. "Comments and information we gather from this survey will be the guiding document biologists will use to manage mule deer for the people of Idaho." The meeting on Tuesday will help Idaho Fish and Game staff to collect input from sportsmen and allow sportsmen to review the topics before the survey is designed. "Our goal is to design a survey that asks the questions that sportsmen and mule deer hunters view as the top priorities," said Boudreau. "That way we can design a management plan that will cover all the facets of this complicated issue." For more information, call 525-7290.
