Idaho Fish and Game

Salvage order placed on Connor Pond, Emerald Lake

idfg-staff
JEROME - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will be eliminating the entire fish population in both Connor Pond and Emerald Lake in order to re-establish better game fish populations. The reclamation effort will be conducted in late October or early November. To maximize harvest of game fish prior to the reclamation effort in these waters Idaho Department of Fish and Game has placed a salvage fishing order that removes daily bag, possession, and size limits for licensed anglers. Currently the majority of the fish populations in both ponds are made up of carp, suckers, and chubs. After removing all fish, Fish and Game will restock the waters with game fish, enhancing the publics fishing opportunity. The salvage order will remain in effect September 01 thru November 30. Normal fishing methods are still required on both waters.
