Moose Permits Still Available

The application period for six leftover moose controlled hunt permits starts Friday, June 15 and runs through June 25. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game has two permits each for antlered moose in hunts 3059, 3075 and 3076 in parts of units 12 and 17 in the backcountry of north-central Idaho. The season in all three hunts is August 30 through November 23. The drawing will be on June 30. Any permits left over from this drawing will be available first-come first-served beginning July 10. The combined cost of each moose tag, permit and application fee is $180.75 for residents and $1,765.75 for nonresidents. Applications are available at all license vendors and Fish and Game offices, by calling 800-824-3729, on the Internet at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/, or by mailing an application to IDFG License Department, P.O.
