Elk Hunting Workshop Rescheduled

Novice elk hunters in the Salmon region still have a chance to learn more about elk behavior, effective hunting techniques, and proper field dressing. The Elk Hunting Basics workshop has been rescheduled to 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 8, at the Salmon Regional Fish and Game office. This free workshop is open to youth ages 12-18 and their parents. Presentations and hands-on activities will begin at 1 p.m. All youth participants are also encouraged to enter the elk bugling contest, which will follow the two hour workshop. Prizes will be awarded to the top three elk imitators. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for the workshop. For more information or to register, please call 208-756-2271.
