idfg-staff
Idaho kids who are interested in wildlife and/or detective work have until June 24 to sign up for a unique and fun learning experience. Biologists at the MK Nature Center in Boise will teach a class called "CSI: Wildlife" on Saturday July 16 from 9 am until 11:30 am. Kids in fifth through seventh grades will be able to put on the hat of a wildlife "crime scene investigator." Each student will go through a three station investigation. The first station will be the staged "crime scene" where they will collect evidence. The second station will be the fictional "residence" of the suspect where the students will collect further evidence. At the third and final station the students will do forensics testing on their evidence to determine if they have a case. Interested students should submit a one paragraph essay saying why they want to attend. Submissions should be sent to this address: MK Nature Center P.O. Box 25 Boise, Idaho 83707 Attn: CSI Camp Students may also drop off an application at the MK Nature Center at 600 S. Walnut in Boise. Applications must be received by June 24. Submissions should include a return address and phone number so Nature Center staff can contact successful applicants.
