With waterfowl season drawing to a close, and the spring fishing season right around the corner, the lull in between is the best time for maintenance work. Beginning Monday, March 13, Fish and Game staff will be taking advantage of this slow period to install a gate and fence near the boat ramp parking area at Fort Boise WMA.
Fencing project to close Fort Boise WMA boat ramp from March 13-17
The construction project will necessitate closing the boat ramp at the end of the access road for the duration of the project. Project completion is slated for Friday, March 17, at which time the boat ramp will reopen to the public.
Boaters planning to access the Snake River during the closure are encouraged to use the boat ramp just west of Fish and Game’s Martins Landing Access Site at the end of Scott Pit Road.
Fish and Game owns, operates, or partners in the management of 355 fishing and boating access sites throughout Idaho. Anglers can learn more about fishing and boating access, including maps, at idfg.idaho.gov/fish/access-guide
