The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is hosting the annual youth pheasant clinic on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Genesee. This event is open to youths aged 10-16 that have passed hunter education and possess a valid 2018 hunting license.
Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. in Genesee for shooting practice and an upland bird biology/identification lesson. Lunch (provided) will be served at noon, and then youths will have an opportunity to hunt for pheasants behind trained bird dogs. Clinic sponsors include Idaho Fish and Game, Flying B Ranch, Pheasants Forever, Snake River Gun Dog and Sportsmen’s Association, Latah Wildlife Association, Genesee Trap and Skeet Association, and Frank Hill.
