idfg-mcoleman
Idaho Fish and Game conservation officers are rolling out the welcome mat for fellow wildlife enforcement officers from around the United States and Canada. The annual conference of the North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association will begin Wednesday, July 17, and this year's host city is Boise. It will continue through July 20. This year, Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter will be among the dignitaries welcoming the officers to Idaho. Opening ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. with a group photo of officers in their agency's uniform on the steps of the state Capitol, followed by a parade at 8:45 a.m. down Capitol Boulevard to the Boise Event Center where the conference will take place. The conference, which attracts several hundred wildlife law enforcement professionals each year, takes place each summer and offers training for conservation officers as well as social activities for their families.
