Citizens Against Poaching representatives Thursday, August 5, presented a $1,000 donation to the Morrison Knudsen Nature Center in Boise. Former Idaho Fish and Game Director Jerry Conley, former Fish and Game Commissioners Fred Christensen, and CAP board member Bill Lewis presented the Nature Center with a check for $1,000. Conley expressed the desire of CAP to help the Nature Center continue "to inspire love, appreciation, and stewardship of our natural world." The Nature Center efforts represent a form of "preventative medicine" against illegal and disrespectful actions against nature. In 2006, Conley, on behalf of CAP presented the Nature Center with a cash donation of $3,000. The money was used to purchase and install several security cameras, which have been effective in reducing "incidents" at the Nature Center. The Nature Center has plans to use a few of these cameras as webcams for streaming wildlife to the web.
