F&G Commission to Meet in Idaho Falls in August

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet Monday, August 16, in Idaho Falls. The meeting, in the Idaho Fish and Game regional office at 4279 Commerce Circle, Idaho Falls, will start with a morning executive session. After lunch commissioners will consider proposed seasons and limits for waterfowl and sage-grouse. Idaho Fish and Game managers will present public comments on season proposals collected from across the state and summarized for the commission. Commissioners also will consider standardized rules for trapping. And they will consider proposed season dates, harvest limits and methods of take on gray wolves. Wolf seasons still are subject to an outstanding legal challenge. Other agenda items include a rule clarification for wild turkeys, a legislative update and consideration of a bighorn sheep management plan to be submitted for public comment.
