Director, Commissioner Bag $1,000 for Hunter Education

Look out Robin Hood! When it comes to shooting for a pouch of gold, you have competition from Idaho Fish and Game Director Cal Groen and his archery range partner, Fish and Game Commissioner Tony McDermott. At this summer's meeting of the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, commissioners and directors were challenged to an archery match with a prize of $1,000 going to the winning state's hunter education program. Groen and McDermott competed against teams from other western states, won and brought home a check that will go to Idaho's archery education program for much-needed equipment.
