Commission to Meet in Lewiston This Week

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will consider proposed seasons for Chinook salmon fishing on the South Fork Salmon and upper Salmon Rivers as well as changes to limits on kokanee salmon in Lake Pend Oreille during a meeting on Thursday May 15. The commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 14 at Fish and Game's regional office at 3316 16th Street in Lewiston. The meeting begins at 7 pm. Members of the public who want to address the commission on any topic having to do with Fish and Game business may do so at the public hearing. All testimony will be taken into consideration when the commission makes decisions on agenda items at the meeting. On Thursday, May 15, the commission meeting will also be held at the regional office. Routine agenda items include Chinook salmon, FY16 budget direction, election of Commission chair and vice-chair, an update on turkey and waterfowl outfitting, consideration of changes to shooting hours on several wildlife management areas and an award for the Hunter Education Instructor of the Year.
