IDFG has scheduled a standard trapper education class on January 26 at the Clearwater Fish Hatchery in Ahsahka (near Orofino). The class will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a lunch break at midday. All trappers that had not purchased an Idaho trapping license prior to July 1, 2011 are required to attend and pass standard trapper education before purchasing a license. Standard trapper education is required in addition to wolf trapper education (a separate class) for anyone wanting to trap wolves.
