Chinook Fishing to Close on South Fork Salmon

The South Fork Salmon River will close to fishing for Chinook salmon at the end of fishing hours Thursday July 19. Daily angler surveys show the nontribal fishery will have harvested all of the state's harvest share of adult hatchery Chinook salmon returning to the South Fork by Thursday, July 19. The Lower Salmon River and the Little Salmon River closed to Chinook fishing at the end of fishing hours Sunday, July 15. The Upper Salmon and Clearwater rivers are still open for salmon fishing.
