This position may require some time spent camping in remote locations to complete fieldwork.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have working knowledge of fish identification, ecology, anatomy, and life-history. Applicants must be comfortable working in and around boats and trailers in lakes, reservoirs, and streams. Applicants must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

- Preferred Qualifications: B.S. Degree in fisheries, biology, ecology, or related field, or equivalent in training and experience. Prior experience in fisheries data collection including but not limited to electrofishing, passive net sampling, fish dissection, fish aging, diet analysis, trailering, launching, and operating boats (motorized, drift boats, and rafts), data recording and digitization, Microsoft Office programs, interacting with the public, accessing remote locations, and mechanical problem solving.
Responsibilities
- This position will assist the fisheries biologist with routine fish population surveys, creel surveys, lab analysis, data entry/summarization, and accessing remote field sites.
