Pacific chorus frogs are one of the first sounds of spring in north Idaho. This species sings for just a few weeks each year beginning in mid-April. If you haven't heard them yet this year you still may have a few days left.
Just take a walk anywhere near standing water at dusk or later. They are as likely to be found in urban as natural environments. This video was recorded a few days ago at a human constructed pond in a Sandpoint neighborhood.
