Trapper Education classes are being offered in the Magic Valley area. Beginning July 1, 2018, every trapper who purchased their first trapping license after June 30, 2011 will be required to attend and pass a mandatory trapper education course before they can purchase an Idaho trapping license.
Taught by experienced trappers and Fish and Game employees, the course is a mixture of classroom instruction and field experiences. While new trappers will learn a great deal in the class, experienced trappers can benefit as well.
Upcoming Classes:
Murtaugh – March 30 from 6 pm to 9 pm and March 31 from 8:30 am to 5 pm at Camp Murtaugh 4544 East 3175 North, Murtaugh Idaho
Hagerman - June 1 from 6 to 9 pm and June 2 from 8:30 am to 5 pm at the Hagerman High School Shop and the Hagerman Wildlife Management Area
Space is limited and registration is required. Participants must be at least 9 years of age and can register at any Fish and Game office or online at https://idfg.idaho.gov/hunt/education.
