This week the Clearwater Region had the majority of the effort on the Clearwater River located in the sections close to Orofino and along the North Fork below Dwarshak Dam with anglers mainly fishing either directly below the dam or along the bridge spanning the north Fork. The anglers who were fishing along the main stem were fishing close to the hatchery or below Pink House where there were a few anglers who were able to harvest a few fish.
The North Fork has plenty of fish and good catch rates, but they are bigger fish and must be released. So for anglers who are interested in catch and release the North Fork is a good place to go. - Ryan Allen, Fisheries Technician 2, Clearwater Region
