More Fish!
Last Saturday’s Free Fishing Day gave many folks the chance to experience fishing for the first time. But the season has only just begun. So grab your license and gear and get out there!
Idaho Fish and Game’s hatchery staff is busy making sure anglers plenty of prey to pursue. Twenty-two million fish a year are stocked from Idaho Fish and Game’s hatcheries to local ponds, lakes and reservoirs. Some are ready to be hooked right now, others are fry and fingerlings that will feed on natural food and grow into keepers.
Leo Gonzalez and Mike Fairchild are deep into the busy season stocking trout from Hagerman Hatchery. Watch them load and plant fish…and make anglers happy!
