With the recent cold weather in the Magic Valley, duck hunting is heating up

(12/12/2016) With the recent cold weather, Officers are reporting that duck hunting has been very good in the Magic Valley region in the last few days. Migratory waterfowl from northern locations have been pushed into the southern part of the state. Increased numbers of birds, coupled with many bodies of water being frozen, has concentrated birds on the Snake River. Bag limits are looking good, and hunters are reporting excellent hunting. Be safe out there, and remember that a boat that is close to being overloaded, becomes overloaded rapidly when ice and water accumulate. Be safe, wear your PFD, and happy hunting.
