Check out the events for Idaho Hunt Expo Friday and Saturday at Lapwai and Lewiston

Friday’s events will run from 2-7 p.m. at the Lewis-Clark Gun range on Tom Beall road near Lapwai.  Activities will include an opportunity for folks to sight in their own rifles or try a variety of calibers that we will have on hand. Lewis-Clark wildlife staff will be available to provide instruction and safety training.

A barbecue dinner will be served at the gun range starting at 4 p.m.

The Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club Range is 15 miles southeast of Lewiston. From U.S. 95, at 1/2 mile north of Lapwai, follow the signs to South Tom Beall Road. The pavement turns to gravel at the 1.1-mile fork in the road. Stay right and the range is on your left 4.3 miles from U.S. 95. 

From U.S. 12, at 1.2 mile east of Myrtle, follow Cottonwood Creek Road 6 miles to South Tom Beall Road. At 6.5 miles, the pavement turns to gravel and the range is on your right 9.3 miles from U.S. 12. 

Saturday's events will be held at Fish and Game's regional office at 3316 16th St. in Lewiston. 

All day activities for kids on Saturday will include;

  • Youth archery shooting
  • Decoy painting 
  • BB gun shooting range
  • Build a Turkey call
  • Laser shot
  • Live Raptors
