Friends group to raise funds May 5 for MK Nature Center

Friends of the MK Nature Center (FOMKNC) is a new nonprofit organization formed to support the work of the Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center in the Treasure Valley. The MK Nature Center, located behind Fish and Game headquarters east of downtown Boise provides educational experiences and wildlife viewing opportunities for school groups, children and adults. Friends of the MK Nature Center is raising funds through Idaho Gives for the following projects: - Fund an AmeriCorps teacher to expand the Nature Center's education capacity with emphasis on weekend programs and special events. - Creation of an artistic mosaic with educational signage to cover a concrete wall surrounding one of the Nature Center's fish viewing windows.
