Idaho Master Naturalists Seek Applicants in Idaho Falls Area

The Upper Snake Chapter of the Idaho Master Naturalists will be starting its 2016 certification classes on March 7th. Classes will be held on Monday nights from 7:00-10:00 p.m. at the Idaho Fish and Game Office in Idaho Falls and will include presentations from a diverse selection of natural resource experts. The mission of the Idaho Master Naturalist Program is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to actively work toward stewardship of Idaho's natural environment. Volunteer activities include assisting Idaho Fish and Game biologists with raptor monitoring, fisheries management, habitat restoration, migratory bird surveys, opportunities to support educational activities at regional wildlife management areas, and many more. Members also assist the Bureau of Land Management, United States Forest Service, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Nature Conservancy, Teton Regional Land Trust, and other nature-orientated organizations.
