Fishing seasons for chinook salmon will end at the end of fishing hours on Thursday, June 2 on the following river sections:
- Lower Salmon River from Rice Creek Bridge upstream to the uppermost boat ramp at Vinegar Creek
- Snake River from Dug Bar boat ramp to Hells Canyon Dam
The sport harvest allocation for these river sections will be met by the time the season closes. Other areas remain open for salmon fishing, and anglers get information and maps showing current salmon fishing areas at https://idfg.idaho.gov/fish/chinook.
